A restomod shop restores or rebuilds a classic while integrating selected modern systems. This national shortlist focuses on businesses with documented multi-system classic-vehicle work or defined re-engineered vehicle programs. It covers several approaches rather than ranking them by price or popularity.
Compare customer-donor projects, model-program purchases and licensed continuation vehicles separately. Bring an inspected vehicle and a brief defining the systems to retain or change. Ask the builder to separate structure, body, chassis, drivetrain, wiring and cabin work, and to name outside contractors.
Start with the builder's eligible years, body styles and configuration. Establish whether it sources the vehicle and how optional equipment changes the specification, timing and support.
If preserving factory specification is the goal, use the restoration directory. If you need only a chassis, engine package or interior, choose a service or supplier and identify who manages final integration.
