Yamaha TMAX 530 Hyper Modified by Lazareth
A supercharged Yamaha maxi-scooter built to push past the 200 km/h mark.

A quieter Lazareth performance project
The TMAX 530 Hyper Modified was part of Yamaha's program inviting major customizers to reinterpret the maxi-scooter. Lazareth's version was less visually explosive than some of his V8 machines, but the mechanical goal was clear: make the scooter faster, sharper, and more serious.

What Lazareth changed
The most important upgrade was forced induction. The TMAX was fitted with a supercharger, lifting output by roughly 30 percent according to period reports. That moved the scooter toward the 60 hp range and gave the build a clear performance target: break the 200 km/h barrier.
The chassis and braking package were upgraded to match. Reports mention a substantial fork taken from Yamaha's R1 parts world, ISR six-piston brake calipers, carbon details, revised body pieces, and a hand-built exhaust outlet that became one of the most visible custom elements.
Why it is interesting
The TMAX 530 already blurred motorcycle and scooter categories. Lazareth's Hyper Modified version made that blur more explicit. It kept the recognizable maxi-scooter shape but added the kind of hardware normally associated with sport bikes and one-off performance customs.
Compared with the Wazuma V8-F or Twingo V8, this build is quieter visually. That restraint is part of why it matters. It shows that Lazareth was not only chasing outrageous engine swaps; he could also tune an existing platform around speed, stance, and detail.
